This is our most common question. Yes this is a tattooing process, but unlike conventional tattooing, I use multiple premium anesthetics to keep you comfortable during the treatment. After the freezing wears off you will feel a slight tenderness to the area that will subside in a day or two. It's nothing worse than scraping your knee. Most of our clients fall asleep, so it's pretty easy for sure.

I book out for a 3 hour time with all appointments. This allows time to go over your treatment plan, custom blend the colours, the freezing time, the procedure and the aftercare. The tattooing process itself depending on the size of the area is between 30-60 minutes generally.

Your safety is paramount and why I stay up to date with advanced training plus my blood borne pathogen certification to best serve you. If the scar is something I feel would be better treated with a laser, I will certainly refer you to a certified specialist in that area.

Healing is a very personal process to each client. Depending on how strong your immune system is, most clients are healed within 7-14 days. We cover the area on the body with a protective film so you can go about life normally. I just ask you to stay away from sun, sweat, steam and soaking water. You can shower just with minimal exposure to the area. In 10 days or so you will remove the film and use the healing balm provided to continue to support the regeneration cycle of the skin.

I've had incredible results in just one session but generally it will take three to complete. As I will be layering the colours, I require each layer to be fully healed before adding the next. We see you back in six weeks to assess the work and decide if a follow up is needed. The sessions are generally completed 8-10 weeks apart so the skin matrix is fully healed.

As we use premium quality specialized tattoo inks, most of the work will hold if it's not exposed to sun. The areas that do see the elements will generally need a refresh every 3-6 years depending on your lifestyle. Chemicals like chlorine or skin acids will cause a faster fade as they break down the pigments faster in the skin.

Our treatments start at $400 a session and up depending on the amount of area involved. With a in person consultation, I will have a better idea of what you will require. Most scaring require 3-4 sessions and we have seen incredible results with just one. For our breast cancer clients... we offer the first session at NO COST as our way of giving back. You will have a great base and any additional work is used to ad in the detail.
